UDIA National Awards for Excellence
UDIA is pleased to recognise outstanding achievement in our annual National Awards for Excellence, including the particular achievements of the professional consultants who make high quality development outcomes possible.
Winners of the major annual State Awards for Excellence become finalists in the National Awards. National Awards winners are encouraged to enter the FIABCI international Prix d’ Excellence, and several Australian projects have been judged international winners in recent years.
UDIA Announces 2008 National Awards for Excellence Winners
The prestigious 2008 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) National Awards for Excellence, which recognises the leading developments nationwide, were announced last night (6 March) at a Gala dinner at the National Congress held in Melbourne. The Awards bring together the best in urban development from around Australia, addressing issues such as quality design, use of infrastructure, land revitalization, community consultation, sustainability, energy efficiency, environmental management and affordability.
UDIA National President, Stephen Holmes said that the Awards showcase the truly outstanding level of development that is occurring around the country.
“These projects have already been recognised as winners in their own state, therefore to be then awarded the UDIA National Award for Excellence clearly demonstrates that they are the 'best of the best' in urban development in Australia”, he said.
“All the winners should be congratulated on the high level of quality and innovation that has been achieved in these projects.”
