The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) is Australia’s peak representative body for all segments of the urban development industry. UDIA is a federation of five state associations that aim to promote the urban development industry in achieving sustainable urban development. With an important national voice on development matters, the UDIA takes an active interest in government decisions and decision making processes affecting the industry, and aims to advance the interest of members by lobbying, communication and research.
2009 UDIA National Congress update:
The speaker program for the 2009 UDIA National Congress ('Making a Difference') has been revealed with the official opening of registations for the major industry event.

On 27 November, UDIA (Qld) will launch a new course in its popular Intensive Management Program titled Managing Sustainable Developments in the Development Industry. The seminar will provide developers and professionals with the latest information on sustainable issues and provide practical ideas and innovations to stay ahead of the field, from town planning to legal parameters, design trends and marketing power.
