Northwood, by Heritage Pacific
Heritage Pacific's Northwood semi-acreage development has been a major driving force in promoting energy efficient housing in the Cabboolture Shire. After four stages of development, 85% of homes have been constructed in accord with the energy efficient principles of GreenSmart housing. The development company also put its own executives, development managers and sales staff through GreenSmart accreditation courses to ensure they fully understood the energy efficiency and environmental benefits of the program. Northwood is the first fully sewered, semi-acreage development in the Shire and is based around two man-built lakes and an additional 24 acres of recreation and conservation parkland.

Mawson Lakes is a major 620ha fully planned community strategically located between Adelaide and its northern suburbs. This project is considered to be an excellent example of a successful private/public partnership.

Sanctuary Lakes Resort, by Links Group Holdings
Sanctuary Lakes Resort by Links Group Holdings is on the site of a former saltworks, which as a by-product of the water management regimes of the saltworks, created a habitat for a wide variety of bird species. Approximately 50% of the original site has been gifted to the state of Victoria as a nature sanctuary of world significance and the remaining 50% was reclaimed and reworked to result in a lake based, golf course inclusive, revegetated housing estate with effective architectural controls to maintain an urban form sympathetic to its environment.
